Meals
Osceola County provides inmates with three meals per day. Unfortunately, the food does not rate very highly. Major complaints about the food are that it is often undercooked, cold, and tasteless. Another complaint is that portion sizes are too small.

Despite the negative reviews, a favorite meal of the inmates is chicken patties. Individuals who have money on their jail account can supplement the food provided by the jail by purchasing snacks from the jail store, called the commissary.

Early Release
To deal with issues of overcrowding, many jails release well behaved inmates early. Osceola County gives inmates up to 5 days off their sentence per month for good behavior. To earn this time off, inmates need to avoid fighting with other inmates and keep the rules in general. Those who earn the position of trustee can earn 10-20 days off per month.

Visits
Keeping in touch with family and friends is a high priority for most people who are serving time. It is also important to those on the outside, and can provide peace of mind when they are able to see that their incarcerated loved one is safe.

Osceola County allows inmates to have two visits per week. Each visit lasts for up to 30 minutes. Visitors should expect to be held at the front for check in for about 25 minutes prior to the visit.
